Now it's finally time to add the 40 feet of teal lycra. Tye each corner of the lycra in a knot and tie nylon cord around the knot. (Don't cut the lycra.) Attach each cord to a steak, and nail them down.

A bundt cake pan on the top of the vertical tower will allow smooth adjustments.

 

 

And there you have it! Base camp has been established!

 

Now its time to celebrate, and nobody has to worry about getting lost!

However beware; the stiff Maine breeze and the lack of support around the vertical column brought the monster down in just under an hour.

 

But we've proven Rob was right and you really need to go with 6-foot support arms to ensure a successful, heavy-duty festival flag.
